You cannot be here and there and not be confused! Lack of conviction is the reason your life is the way it is right now. You can't even explain what is happening to you, things are never the way you expect them to be. 

Everyone else seems to be doing great and living happily except you, you have concluded that good things do not come to you! Every now and then, you are swinging from one mood to another. 

Sometimes, you wonder if God actually exist! Other times, you think you are just unfortunate and nothing is interesting about you! It pains me for you that you have not experienced or encountered the God you think you believe or know! 

If you do, you won't be struggling with your identity nor conviction! No wonder the bible says "Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof..." You are easily carried away by all the things you see around you and you continually wish you are this person or that person! 

How about becoming the person God created you to be? How I wish you can be conscious of what God has said about you! How I wish you will be interested in what God wants to do with you! 

So many so called believers are miserable because of a passive faith! You must actively believe to be a partaker and enjoy all that is available for you as a child of God!

Do you really trust God? Deep down, you know you are not sure! Sometimes, you wish your life was better off than this, you even wish you could relate with God better but you have been deluded that your life is not comfortable enough for you to seek God! 

Not until you believe to the extent of seeking God then, your faith is inactive! In Corinthians, the bible says "...the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power." 

A Christian walk that lacks power is as empty and limited as anything you can think of, you are ordinary and confused because you lack power! 

Have you not read in the bible that if the spirit that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he shall quicken your mortal bodies? That spirit is the power of God at work in us who believe, the power that enables you to become a son of God! 

Your lack of joy and peace is as a result of lack of God's power! In Romans the bible says "...the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost." 

It is obviously impossible to be a believer without the Holy ghost, He is the power at work in us who believe both to will and to do of his good pleasure! 

Life in Jesus is the most and in fact, the only fulfilling life I know, it won't cost you anything to seek God but a willing and a broken heart! 

You don't have to be depressed neither should you be miserable, your life is worth it and you are not unfortunate!

I have heard people say "listen to your heart, follow your heart" and it sounds as though the heart is so specific and accurate but the bible says the heart of man is deceitful and wicked... 

The same heart most persons are counting on for right direction and sound decisions! When is it right? They say when it feels right but it is most times not right even when it feels right!

As a matter of fact, this has led many persons into pain and regret with great lamentation, if only I knew but how would I have known? they cry! The bible says "let this mind be in you which was in Christ Jesus..." 

There is something special about that mind which was in Christ Jesus since, he didn't just do the things that are right and good but that which is the perfect will of God! 

As much as we can not trust our lives and destinies with men even so we can not trust ourselves with it! The bible recorded that woe is he that put his trust in a man. Who then should man trust and rely upon for direction? God!

 Is God willing to guide you? Obviously, he is  willing and the scriptures even says that "the steps of a righteous man are ordered by God" so the issue is with us! It is either you are not righteous or you have refused to yield to his leading! 

Believing in Jesus as your Lord and saviour automatically makes you righteous even though as you grow in him, you must ensure that the new man that is the righteous nature inside of you finds expression through your attitude and character. 

By constantly learning of him and bringing your body under subjection! Meanwhile, some persons though they have accepted Jesus as Lord and saviour and are therefore righteous yet, they have failed or refused to surrender to him totally! 

Therefore, they struggle with things and issues they ordinarily should not find difficult! The bible says "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." 

When you are directed by God then, you are certain even in the face of challenges! There is this peace of mind that keeps you stable even when the situation does not look like it! 

Another thing is the safety that comes with walking in the path cut out for you by God and whatever the path maybe, you can always find strength from the one who is leading you! 

Because some persons get to know the right thing to do but lack the strength to do it! Finally, "There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death." Let God lead you!

Leaving the house that morning was not easy for her, she kept checking and checking herself in the mirror. Something was wrong with her outfit and she knew it but she really wanted something new or different from her regular outfits!

 "These clothes are not so bad I guess but why do I feel so wired" she muttered! Though she was not comfortable in the clothes nevertheless she wore them at least let her wear something they have not known her with in her place of work! 

As she walked down the road, she kept feeling bad and offended by everyone smiling or any two persons giggling because they seemed to be laughing at her even when no one actually noticed her. 

She just felt she was the reason people were looking at and laughing! She was already not comfortable with herself when she left the house but on her way to work, she felt so awkward and wished she could disappear... 

I guess you might have had a similar experience! But why do I have to share this story this morning? 

To remind you that how you see yourself and what you feel about yourself matters a lot! 

If you are not comfortable with the person you are, you will obviously think everyone is not comfortable with you too! You will always find fault in how people relate with you even when they behave or act normal. 

Because you esteem yourself lowly, you feel everyone wants to take advantage of you! When a person sincerely appreciates you, you see it as mockery because you don't think you are good enough! 

Meanwhile, I have also seen persons whose outfits were nothing to write home about but their charisma sent a different message across, I mean the guy looks unkept not actually because he is dirty but his clothes are just too poor, old and archaic.

But with his attitude we said that he is just being funny, he does not really care meanwhile he does just that maybe he could not afford something better but because he refused to be dispirited we saw him in a different light! 

That is exactly what self-esteem can do, carry yourself with dignity no matter your limitations, let it be that your love for yourself supersedes whatever is happening around you! 

Stop feeling bad because you think people think less of you, they only call you by the name you call yourself! 

So, if you present yourself to them as weak, poor, naive, foolish etc they simply see you that way. What I'm I trying to say? People will call you the name you choose to answer which means the problem is not without but within! 

You are the problem and not people! Get the right mindset about your personality, come to terms with your weaknesses and learn to love and respect yourself in spite of your shortcomings! 

Value and express the good in you and it will overshadow the negative, after all, no one is entirely good! Always remember that people see you through your own eyes so, see the good in you and appreciate yourself! 

It is difficult to love a person who lacks self love! In fact, loving them is a crime because they see everything wrong in you loving them!

The night was quiet and calm, all I could hear was the sound of rain drops, it was drizzling! As I lay on my bed in the dark with my eyes heavy with sleep I just could not allow myself to fall asleep; thinking of the task at hand I struggled and got back on my table. 

Sleep is a luxury to me at this point in time even if it is a basic necessity! In spite of the cold and the exhaustion from the day's activity, I had to stay awake, the life of a student! 

Then, I realize that for us to get things done, if we must attain some heights and make impact then, we must be ready to give something in exchange! You may not deprive yourself sleep, yours could be food, hangout, relationship, leisure and others. 

Having an interest and making plans are prerequisites but determination is key! 

It is not enough to be enthusiastic about the goal, you must ensure you push through until it comes through! 

Things do not always respond to our efforts as we expect but our success lies in our ability to keep pushing in spite of the resistance. Many natural and artificial processes occur by overcoming pressure or resistance!

 Your heart overcomes pressure to pump blood, current overcomes resistance for it to flow and many other examples so your case is not odd, it's just normal!

Progression is another key; in life, very few things come to an end just like that, there was yesterday, there is today and there will be tomorrow and like that we see sequence in so many things around us!

And stuffs like impact progressively happens, 'over time' is the time frame required. Your so much effort today cannot grant you the success you desire.

Progression ensures a track record or a life style and not just a one time thing. Therefore, the effort you made yesterday and even today is not enough, you should have a track record of consistency. 

Meanwhile, there is no better motivation than that which comes from excellent results! So, do not just make effort but that which will yield excellent results!

Imagine! The moment you have been waiting for all your life is here and it is nothing close to your expectations. Things are going to change for the better, so you promised yourself, you always hoped and encouraged yourself that if you do everything you ought to do, a time will come when you will no longer struggle so much for things.

But right now things are not so different from how they have been "How I patiently waited to graduate, I studied hard and ensured I came out with good grades, I felt things will be fine now but my reality is nowhere close to my expectations..."

"Against all odds I was able to raise the money needed for the business, little did I know things are not just going to be alright as I planned! I thought by now things will be smooth but unlike before things are even becoming tougher..." 

"I gave my best and expected so much but at the end of the day it is almost like my effort is in vain, what will one do? When will this struggle end?" 

We pray, we plan, we work and we hope! But most persons are never satisfied at the end of the day, their expectations are either dashed or nothing compared to their input. But then, to stop hoping is to give up! 

To keep your hope alive may seem difficult even at that do not loose hope! Wherever you are presently, set more goals like you did in time past and strategize the more on how to achieve these goals and your hope will definitely stay alive.

Your dream is not impossible, it is only taking time to materialize. It is far easier to board a vehicle and you are conveyed from one particular location to another location than to arrive at a particular destination in life at a particular time as expected. 

There are so many delays and deviations from the original plan meanwhile sometimes, it is either your expectations are way higher than what is actually obtainable considering time or you are too impatient to see the change evolve! 

No matter your input, you may never experience a change so rapid as sudden and this does not mean your input is in vain neither should your hope be dashed instead, you just need to be patient and do not forget that any impact that will last long will not manifest in a hurray. 

You need to be patient to experience growth that result that seems too small can grow into something big if you don't give up on it! 

Meanwhile, the struggle is unending, it only becomes easier and more productive with time when you don't let go!

So, I sat perplexed hoping for nothing but the worst to happen! I was already messed up and could not fathom how to clean up my mess. You know, motivational speakers will tell you to turn your mess into a message and others will say in every mess there is a message but I was not seeing any message in mine and there was no route for escape, I was stuck.

 If you have ever been in a position where you felt like taking back the hand of the clock then, you may understand how I felt. I wished I never did it, I wished I did something opposite, if only I was not a party to it, was I just scared of the consequences?

 But was I not even thinking before I got myself into it? Some choices and decisions have actually limited so many persons in life that they wake up everyday hoping for nothing but the worst.

 A singular action have kept many in perpetual regret, deprived them of opportunities and dashed their hopes of the future! In as much as everything we do is risky yet, some things are too vital for gambling. 

If only the effects of our decisions can be seen before we decide, some persons say they will not fall victims but do you know that the effects of our choices and decisions actually stare at us in the face but some times we see it as minor and other times we will rather gamble it.

 Beware of the actions you take, you should either be investing your life in something worthy or investing in your life, if not you may simply be spending or wasting your life. Yes, mistakes are inevitable but be careful so you do not make a mistake that will cost you everything of which such mistakes are most times avoidable. 

You do not have control over everything that happens to you or around you so make wise decisions concerning the things you have control over! I'm sure you want to wake up everyday hopeful for something better and best!

Here is a quick and brief word for you this Tuesday morning, there is no need to be discouraged, if others do not worth your effort then, do it for yourself! The drive that keeps you motivated most times is love and passion for what you do and nothing else!

 I do things because first I enjoy doing them with or without you, with or without your opinion and approval. I'm first satisfied and happy with myself and whatever it is I am doing even if it's for you but in as much as I derive joy in doing it I'm happy! 

If not for anything just do it and be happy with yourself! Do you know so many things many people do are directly or indirectly for others? Either to help them or just to impress them, sometimes they wonder why they put in so much effort and end up unhappy, simply because nobody seem to see nor recognize their efforts.

 But eventually we all get discouraged when we do not get the support and appraisal we expect, the truth is that no one is looking at your effort nor your sacrifice especially when it is beneficial to everybody.

 Of course "everybody" is nobody's name but the things we do for others should be first those things that gives us joy while doing them that we are simply happy with ourselves even if we are not appreciated nor our services paid for! 

There are things we do to help others and there are times we make sacrifices even and when such efforts are taken for granted, they kill our interest but do you know what? Just keep doing what you are doing and be satisfied and happy with yourself for that is all that matters! Do have a wonderful day ahead!

Some situations are just too bad to manage but what do you do when you obviously have no other option but to manage! I hate it when I'm stuck and can't do anything to help myself, I guess you know what I'm talking about. 

I just want to let you know that stuffs beyond our control happens to each and everyone of us, leaving us pitiable or even make us an object of ridicule that we wish we can turn tables around and make things work in our favour but no, we simply can't! Despite our efforts there is just nothing we can do about it therefore, some persons say they are not just lucky like others! 

Are some people really lucky while others are not? By luck we simply mean something favourable happening by chance not as a result of one's making. No matter the disparities among individuals and the different situations we all face in life I still believe that we all have an equal opportunity or chance to life. 

We are all both lucky and unlucky, only at different times and in different situations.One way or the other nature has a way of balancing things for every individual, if you have been unlucky in a particular aspect of your life i'm sure you have also been lucky times without number in another area. 

But we are mostly concerned about what we need at the moment and other times we look at how much effort we have put into something that did not favour us. If you think you are so unlucky, I wonder how unlucky those lying in the graveyard are! What you see as bad luck might just be part of the price you have to pay for something better coming your way.

 The truth is that whatever we go through especially those stuffs we have no control over are simply preparing us for better things or making us better persons. Life teaches us better by the things we go through and everyday we keep learning and experiencing different things especially with different phases of life. 

What you are going through is only an aspect of an  entirety called life. So, do not term yourself unlucky because of a particular thing that has refused to favour you, of course everything will not favour you, instead of mourning the unfavorable, I seek the favourable and I simply accept in good faith the unfavourable! 

We obviously will enjoy some things and tolerate others knowing that everything is time bound! Do not allow unfavourable conditions deter you, just be the champion you are meant to be! Defeat only comes when you surrender in self-pity and disappointment, appreciate the beauty around you each day and make the most out of everything!

Nothing compels me like the struggles I go through daily! My motivation is no big dream but just a better reality, as simple as that! The drive for every person obviously differs, I do not want the world neither do I want a monument for myself rather, I just want to freely take in every breath with freshness and contentment!

 I'm not a weakling and I'm not a coward, I'm just me, satisfied with little, OK with much but won't kill myself over nothing! Take it or leave it, everything is almost nothing so why shouldn't I enjoy the little I have in peace and be grateful! 

What is there to be grateful for? You are wondering right? Me! I am grateful for me! My person; all that I am and all that I have, in things and in people, the challenges and the huddles of life! When I say I am grateful for life, I mean I'm grateful for everything!

 I may not be comfortable with everything yet, it's all that makes up me! The world may not recognize nor love me yet, I have people who value me and make life worth it. I may not be able to leave a global mark or make an impact worldwide yet, everyone that comes in contact with me leaves with a touch of me!

 It may actually be little but it is something and worth's so much within it's sphere of influence. We all must not do big things, I'm I shocking you? But we can do great things even in little things. You may not necessarily need to be so ambitious!

 Greatness is nothing less or more than what you call it, if you say it is to be famous and rich, so it is but I sum it up as a total of 2S that is significance and satisfaction! As much as I am effective in what I do and positively affecting those around me, I am satisfied!

 Whether so much or so little, just be effective that is all that is necessary! Life does not have to be so complicated!

Being logical can be overwhelming and tiring meanwhile, instinct seems to be our friend and saviour, an easier way. You don't have to think and ponder for so long rather, whatever comes to you at that moment is simply the answer you need and some persons even see it as divine guidance. 

But our instincts are not always right and in strategic issues, one can not rely absolutely on instincts. Logic involves a stepwise process in getting solutions to problems and as such, it has a reproducible pattern. 

That is why principles are based on logic and they can be taught to others. Depending on impulse to make concrete decisions is almost like depending on wishes and expectations without labour or effort to bring such expectations to reality.

 Logic puts you in charge and makes you fully conscious of your decisions and actions and as such one is responsible for every decision he or she takes. Some issues are issues of the heart but most issues are issues of the brain especially personal issues! 

People run into problem because they use the heart more! If you are always using your heart, you will most likely make unecessary errors due to emotions. Meanwhile, just as you should not be emotional about everything, you should as well not be logical about everything! 

When the issue is clear and has a focus, you should make use of your brain and like in science carry out an analysis with a proof! For yourself, make use of your heart but more of your head!

As she stooped down by the wall of her house, she cried and sobbed like a child. "How long do I have to suffer?" were her words and one could feel how pained she was. So many persons like her go about in pains even with a smiling face, for the fact he is not crying does not mean all is well with him though, pains are in degrees.

I got close to her but could not say a word instead, I wondered if I have ever been in a critical and desperate condition, how much pain have I felt and at that point, words became too light and empty to convey my sympathy so, I sat down close to her without saying a word like the friends of Job in the bible, and I continued to wonder; why do people have to go through a lot?

 Why are the troubles of some people so severe? I may not know what you are going through and I may not be your be your shoes but that does not make me numb to how you feel and much more I have also endured pains and had worst moments of my life though, they may seem light to yours but they were terrible moments for me. Let me say this to you, wipe your tears! 

Whatever is the reason for those tears, there is no need for desperation, light will soon shine in your darkness! Don't forget that the darkest part of the night precedes a new dawn, your pain is not going to last forever. Remember, you have been through similar and even worst situations at some points in your life and such times looked as if they were going to last for eternity but today, they are all history! 

Every moment or era, good or bad is a time in transit therefore, do not give up because this will soon be in the past! Keep your hopes alive, fight, fight and fight! Even when you loose a battle, in as much as it is not unto death then, you are not defeated! They say "when there is life there is hope" take consolation in this!

 My sincere prayer for you today is that God will give you reasons to smile again that he will take away heaviness from you and clothe you with joy and gladness! May your light not be snuffed out and may your days be beautiful no matter the thorns of life! The future is bright, stay positive!

I wrote down my goals for the year with no idea where the resources especially finance will come from, with the enthusiasm that comes along with the new year, I was hopeful and expectant that some how I will get what I need to achieve my goals! The days in January gradually rolled by and today is 4th of February, it will amaze you to know that so far, in spite of the fact that my resources are limited yet, my goals did not remain a written plan rather, it's already a work in progress!

 I discovered that there are so many things you will do for yourself when passion is at work, it fuels your actions and prevents dormancy! The reason why you have not made any move as regards achieving your goal for the year is your inability to start with what you have! If it's actually your passion and something you really want to do, every effort you put into it no matter how little will count. 

Stop waiting for the things you do not have, for the things you cannot do for yourself and for the people who should help you. When you begin to do the things you can do then, help will naturally come to you for those things you cannot do for yourself! You may never do anything if you keep waiting for everything and everybody you need!

 Have you realized that most persons take interest in you and decide to mentor or coach you not just because you have plans but base on something you are doing already! And even when they offer you counsel base on your plans they expect you to get to work with or without resources because they know every determined man has what he needs to start and if not will make every effort within his power to start!

 For instance, you won't mind doing one or two odd jobs just to raise the funds you need. The problem is not the things you do not have but your inability to put to use the things you have! Another thing is that whatever you want to do is something you have  what it takes basically to achieve it, if not you won't even think of it in the first place.

 For the fact you have it as a target, it's an indication that you can do it! What you are waiting for might as well be waiting for you, take a step! The realization of your goal is simply doing something consistently about it no matter how little! 

You actually do not need so much to get started, keep doing the things you can do and help will come to you for the things you cannot do! Have a great day ahead!

Here is a final note with respect to our topic of discussion yesterday "the fears and discouragement of an amateur". The days of little beginnings are seen as unprofitable with intense struggle for survival! Whereas, this beginning you tag as unproductive and unprofitable is foundational which makes it very crucial!

Because the success of your course is largely dependent on how formidable your foundation is and how well your structure is built! Without a clear vision and focus, one is tempted to wonder if the goal is worth the struggle! Too many dreams are abandoned at this very point but like we commonly say "nothing good comes easy" though, it's easier to agree to the saying than to incorporate it.

 Not until there is an investment, you do not expect a profit! These foundational days are part of your investment and most likely you will get your return on investment (profit) in due season. With every goal comes a prospect even if it is not everything we do that eventually works out due to so many reasons which may or may not be our faults but that is no excuse not to fight enough for our dreams to come through. 

If you are in a haste for your labour to yield fruit you will likely end up jumping from one thing to another without success in any. You must keep your hopes alive with patience and perseverance, it's not really fun to keep up with what you do especially when you feel there is no result. But your your effort is not in vain just that the result is below your expectations even at that do not loose hope!

Even when your profit is not so obvious just remember you are laying a foundation and building a structure for your business, career and whatever it may be! Press forward because breakthrough is born out of a work in progress! If you have no battle to fight you obviously have no battle to win and the hope for victory is dashed when you quit fighting! I'm hopeful that you will not quit ! Do have a lovely day ahead!

Wishing that it never happened or it happened in a different way won't change what has happened! It's unfortunate that some persons regret the past so much that the future takes them unaware, without any effort or preparation to make things different, they allow their past consume and limit them. 

Regrets result in discouragement  and leaves a victim hopeless. Hope has nothing to do with your past but your future therefore, refuse to be stuck in your past, stop giving so much thought to what would have happened if things were different from what they are. "What if I was not born into this family? What if my father was alive? What if I was not sacked?

 What if I never married him? What if I never walked away?..." Would life have been any better for you, if things had gone contrarily? Maybe yes, life would have been better but now it's late to change what has happened! History has been made but the interesting thing is that every time spent and every yesterday adds up to history.

 Everything that is happening to you now will soon become history as well therefore, taking charge of your today is taking charge of your tomorrow's history. No matter how we summon the past with so many "what ifs" it makes no difference since we cannot change a thing about the past.

 Instead of imagining the possibilities of the past which are no longer valid, visualize the possibilities of the now and the future. The past has been created consciously or unconsciously, right now, you can only create the future! What if i take a course? What if I marry her? What if I change jobs? What if I start the trade? What if I apologize to her? What if I try something else?...

 What are you proposing for the future? There are no more possibilities in the past but there is so much you can take hold of for the future. So put the past behind you and focus on the future! You can do so much about the future but there is so little in fact there's nothing you can do about the past. 

Investing so much to discover the possibilities for today and for the future is worth it but putting so much into the past is nothing but misuse of time and energy! Stay focus! There is a glorious future ahead of you!

Have you ever asked yourself the question, who I'm I? I guess you have, times without number! And I have asked myself the same question too, so many times. What was your answer to the question? Were you able to define and identify yourself? Most times, we fail to answer the question while other times we simply pass by it because we are not comfortable with the persons we are. 

But are we really not happy being the persons we are or we just don't know who we are? One common mistake people make is to define themselves base on their circumstances and situations which are only temporal. You hate your present condition not yourself and whatever it is you are experiencing, you are meant to go through and who you are determines if you will come through or not! 

Sometimes, you drift to your left or right trying to find 'you' in some other places apart from where you are. The farther you drift to the left or right the farther you drift away from you! Who are you really? What exactly do you want? Failure to get answers leave us in a dilemma of who we should be like. 

Unfortunately, no matter how hard one tries, one can never make the story of another person his or her own story. You may have a role model in your career, for your life style but there is no one who is exactly like you because everyone is unique. Although, there is nothing new and the experiences are similar yet, they are only a part of your uniqueness. Yes! 

The circumstances and situations of life is obviously not so different for everyone, every person seem to share the same lot but then, the life of each person is still unique, different and unusual because of our different seasons and times, different opportunities and privileges, different backgrounds and of course our individuality/instinct which defines our uniqueness. 

There is no need beating up yourself because you failed to fit into the person you are not simply because you are not comfortable with the person you are presently even when the best person you can be is you! Stop limiting yourself by what you see around you, you are far more than that. From today, decide to determine your situation instead of allowing your situation determine you!

I'm sure you've heard the common saying "think outside the box!" What box are we talking about?  The mind of course! A confinement which has restricted and shut many in, away from their environment and others like prisoners. The mind is not just the seat of thought but a nonmaterial substance or set of processes in which consciousness, perception, affectivity, judgement, thinking, and will are based. 

The attitude of every person and the way and manner in which people act, relate, perform etc can be traced to the mind. The life of every man is simply a reality of the mind, the definition of a person is therefore the definition of his mind. No wonder the scripture tells us "For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he..." and "...out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh." 

The quality of your mind determines the quality of your life and limitation in the mind is limitation in life. The mind is patterned and accustomed according to the information it processes and its experiences which makes the mind conscious and alert. And as such, the mind can interpret, rationalize and decide or conclude! A sound mind is an indispensable tool for living. 

Your experiences and the information you get shape your mind, this is one reason so many persons have been limited in life! Many with terrible experiences and scars end up in depression. That is, a low capacity of a person to maintain belief in an institution or a goal, or even in one's self and others. 

Many continue in this state without the willpower to do anything not even the things they use to do, they become too miserable to be useful to themselves or others. As much as you can control and filter the information you take in, you may have little or

 no control over some of your experiences but then, you can decide what takes hold of your mind in every experience. 

In spite of the fact that we experience sometimes the good and other times the bad, you can choose to gather knowledge, opinions, and skills in each case instead of allowing the disappointments and frustration in bad situations cause you depression. Meanwhile, you can broaden the scope of your mind, flexibility is the key! Though, some persons have refused to be flexible with an effort to protect long age beliefs and values. 

But they fail to realize that one can believe wrongly and that people can also be subjective in their values rather than being objective! Therefore, it pays more to be open to learning by acquisition and experience and of course you should know that no learning process forces one to believe or accept anything but rather, it serves as a means to finding out what you should believe and accept! 

Rigidity is resistance which of course limits you to the primitive you and flexibility is no weakness in any form as some think rather, it makes positive changes possible! Life is dynamic therefore, you must be dynamic in your mind! It is a common saying that "change is inevitable"! Refusing to learn and experience something new is shutting yourself away in a confinement or prison with the keys in your pocket! You should think outside the box. GoodMorningFromIseme

Why are we so conscious of the idea, feeling, or opinion others have about us? People even go to the extent of self denial just to impress some persons. Everyone wants to be commended and identified with, we are so much concerned about how people see us. "What does he think about me?, I'm sure she thinks I'm nice, I guess he finds me interesting, I just hope he does not see me as boring, he should have noticed that I'm a good person..." 

Why do we care? 

Especially when we come in contact with persons for the first time, remember the common saying "first impression matters a lot!" And a bosom friend of mine said "second chances are rare to create first impression!" Hmmmmmmm! This simply points out that those around us, whether we have known them for sometime or we just meant them form an integral part of our lives! 

Our self respect or self esteem soars when people commend and compliment us, positive commendations from others boost our confidence beyond average. And this also emphasizes on the importance of relationship to man, we value relationship even without knowing we do. You simply want to be in his good book because you value him, relating with him is a confidence booster and knowing that he appreciates you makes you feel good! 

But the issue is not actually the impression others have about you but who you really are! Are you really nice? Are you reliable? How true are you? People may have a wrong notion about you but somehow somewhere, they get to encounter the real you and their notion is either positively or negatively corrected! 

Then, people say things like "I thought she is a good person, little did I know she is this wild, is this really his kind of person?, why was he pretending all this while?, I never knew she has such a beautiful soul, he is nothing close to what I heard, she is much more amazing than I thought..." Why abandon the person you are and go about painting the image you are not? 

When you do this, it means you are not comfortable with you! Why don't you like you? Whatever your reasons are, giving a false image of you in the name of impression simply means you've lost hope in you! You are a work in progress so I'm I, no one is completely beautiful. Whether it's an issue with your status or condition or even a character flaw, denying it is rejecting change. 

Of course when you say you are healthy then, you will have no need for drugs! Focus on you not the image you want others to see, work on yourself and you won't seek to be noticed rather, you will naturally shine without struggle like the stars of the firmament! Deep down, you know exactly who you are and what you are up to, you know your target and your plans. 

The picture you are trying to paint for the next person makes no different because the impression you give to people does not change who you are and the course of your life! And no matter how you try to hide you, it has a way of creeping out. You are an amazing person even the way you are and with a little work you will be amazed at the real you! Believe me, you are beautiful!

Why have you sold your freedom and traded your right in exchange for nothing but slavery? For empty words you traded your self-esteem, you no more have confidence in yourself or what you can do! It is awful how you have lost trust in yourself because someone took advantage of your weakness and you have learnt to continually rely on such person! 

Meanwhile, No matter what you tell a man or how you guide him not until you have affected his conviction your impact is short lived! Only the conviction of a man keeps him aright through challenges and pressures of lfe especially in the face of persuasion! Guidance serves as crutches to a man who lacks conviction.

He depends on you, he keeps coming back to you and he expects you to always help him decide or overcome! He keeps learning from you but he never gains knowledge, he remains a child refusing to grow into maturity despite your teaching! The truth is that he never really learnt from you rather, he just depends on you to make his choices and decisions. 

For the fact you took interest in an individual and decided to offer some assistances, it does not in anyway gives you the right over his life. Especially when it comes to guidance and counselling, most persons enjoy it and even desire that people become dependent on them  in making decisions. 

Every man has a choice, teaching or allowing others to always rely on you in making every decision makes them dependent on you! Whereas, living implies functioning and effectiveness in all areas including your ability to choose and decide. Allowing someone else make your choices and decisions for you is allowing such person live mind life. 

Don't forget, your life is being directed by the choices you make and the decisions you take. You may be supported at one point or the other yet, you are meant to use your mind! You should exercise your mind without fear or favour, failure to take charge of your life is acceptance of whatever anyone ask you to do or suggest that you do and as well the mistakes and consequences of such suggestions.

Only a man who lacks vision will run with the vision of another! Whether you like it or not they take the glory as your life support while you take the risk and bear the consequences too. When such counsel fail, you engage in blaming people for your failure, you blame it on one person or the other but remember, blames on whichever person is never a solution nor remedy! Therefore, learn, understand and as well appreciate knowledge by application. You should learn to use your mind!

The degree to which we believe in something determines how much we hold onto it. The problem of our society today is too many unbelievers and some who have believed the wrong thing! It is not just enough to believe, you should believe the right thing! So many are tossed up and down on almost every issue and principle and as such they are confuse and gullible. 

Today, they are believers of one principle, tomorrow they believe something else! They do not strongly believe anything so as to hold onto it. Of which, everything a man does is on the basis of his beliefs. Character is simply an expression of the core values a man believes in. This is one reason we have so many persons who are not consistent in character in our society. 

Many people are indifferent in a lot of things, they just go about loose without committing themselves to anything. For them, everything goes in as much as it is convenient and comfortable. Strength of character is seen in how one holds onto right values! A persistent demonstration of one's belief irrespective of the situation or circumstances defines character. 

Why do people find it difficult to believe? Mostly because they have only a shallow idea of what they are to believe, as a result they do not know how certain such beliefs are. Meanwhile, most persons are not willing to diligently investigate or research on anything nor are they ready to take responsibility. Believing is responsibility and some people are too  unreliable to be responsible. 

One must be ready to stand without wavering and defend his belief but most people just want an easy life without restriction from anything. Therefore, many have no direction in life because they are not resolute enough to stand no matter the odds rather, they keep running from pillar to post in search of milk and honey, butter and bread, where you don't have to work but earn money and live big for instance. 

But life is obviously not designed that way, there are principles and laws in operation and like a set up, everything operates in systems. What do you believe? Your belief determines your everything; your perception and perspective, your attitude and character, your motives and actions etc. Be guided!
