"As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby..." This is the major reason why so many of us in the body of Christ do not experience spiritual growth as we ought to!
We have so many desires that have no bearing with us growing spiritually rather, hinder us from growing. What do you desire? What are you chasing after?
"As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God." All you need is God and only in His word will you find Him!
