Instead of making yourself an enemy, criticizing and competing with him/her, accept the fact that you are poor in that area and try to work on yourself.
Appreciate that fellow who is good in that area and see him/her as a good example to learn from, learning is no crime and it actually does not matter who is doing the teaching. Jealousy will only deprive you of the opportunity to become better.
Mind you, what you criticize and despise can never benefit you. So, in your own interest it is wise to celebrate and appreciate what you admire...do not hide your admiration in criticism.
