Created For Glory! Let The Glory Of God Distinguish You...

YOU MAY ALSO LOVE TO READ THE POST BELOW:

Last week we were able to establish that the word "glory" is encompassing and exciting and it is very common in the scriptures, used at different times in different contexts and we saw "glory" in the context of praises to God, when we looked at the topic "glorifying God".
Today, we will be looking at the word "glory" in the light of beauty and splendor.

A great light, so brilliant and magnificent and accompanied with power like the power that struck Saul to the ground on his way to Damascus. From the beginning in Genesis, we see that God made man in his own image and likeness. "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion..."

Man was made to be like God unlike every other creature and God expects man to radiate his beauty and splendor to the glory (praises) of his name! "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven"
He gave the earth to you and me for us to reign and dominate and in it show forth his glory, we are meant to shine. No wonder he made us kings and priests and even called us gods.

"And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth." "I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High." But by reason of the disobedience of the first man, Adam, man came short of the glory of God, handed over the dominion God gave him to the devil and man became a victim!

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" the case of man was pathetic and hopeless but God did not give up on man instead, he sent Jesus to restore man (me and you) unto glory. Jesus died in our place because we were worthy of death because of our sins. "For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him."

So that as many who will believe in Jesus as Lord and Saviour will have eternal life through Jesus to the glory of God! Therefore, the call to believe in Jesus, in his death and resurrection is actually a call to glory! A call to life eternal (the life of glory) from death (condemnation)

He is calling you to that same glory he gave you from the beginning when he made you in his image and likeness, he is calling you to dominion and power, he is calling you to take your place in him. So that were he is there you maybe also, having the same right and access to the Father like Jesus!

"And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also."
Come to Jesus today and let his glory distinguish you!
Happy Sunday!
