How Resolute Are You? You Don't Have To Be Desperate Just Be Determined!

Lack of determination is one of the reasons most plans are never actualized. Determination is a key factor in the realization of any dream or goal! It is beyond a mere decision rather, it is a firm and unyielding desire to do something. The size of your dream makes no difference, both small and big dreams face opposition. Such as is equivalent to the dream and enough to stop the dream from coming to reality! 

But a determined man is not limited by oppositions and he is not desperate, as a matter of fact, if you are determined you won't be desperate! You become desperate when all hope is lost, fear of failure sets in, bitterness and resentment instigates you into going after your desire no matter the cost, at the expense of every other thing including the right and life of others. A desperate man is extreme, he has no consideration for anything apart from that one thing he wants to do, he wants to accomplish now not later. 

Meanwhile, a determined man is hopeful therefore, he is persistent, he is ready to keep doing what he should do until he is successful. He is not in haste and does not give up even when his attempts fail severally. They may both get their heart desires but a desperate man looses his peace, values; integrity, honesty etc in the process. Meanwhile, a determined man is guided by those core values, his success is not at the expense of character. 

He is persistent and consistent until he becomes successful. Lack of determination results in laxity towards achieving your goal and this results in failure, and when a man realizes he has failed in something, he goes at any length to prove he is not a failure, he becomes desperate, ready to do anything to get what he wants. A determined man never sees himself as a failure rather, when one method fails him he is hopeful enough to try another and he is going to keep trying until he is successful, that is his simple philosophy. 

But a desperate man lacks persistence and he is never consistent in anything so, he just wants to succeed once and for all but there is actually no such success! Every real success is not just about the goal that is achieved but also about the lessons learnt and the experience gained in the process which makes the achiever a better person. It is not just enough to make effort, you must be persistent and consistently make efforts. 

Let your plans for this year spur you into action, make up your mind now that you are not going to give up and be clear about such values as integrity, it will help keep you in check and on the right track. Let it be that even if you are unable to achieve a particular goal before the year comes to an end that you become more persistent and consistent and become a better person because of all the lessons you will learn. If you learn to be persistent and consistent, you are almost sure of achieving that goal. 

In summary, begin to do what you have to do now so that you don't get frustrated and desperate at the end of the day.
