"For The Kingdom Of God Is Not In Word, But In Power"

"Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God." This is the issue with the church today! Everyone has an opinion regarding what the bible says in every verse, different teachings and doctrines keep emanating everyday! Very few read and study the bible but everyone is a bible scholar. 

We go about the things of God as though, it is something physical and intellectual but beyond these it is spiritual and powerful! "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart" 

We are to trust the Holy spirit for the interpretation of God's word to our heart if not, we end up struggling with our man made doctrines because they lack power and efficacy. There are so many errors and excesses in the church today! No wonder apostle Paul prayed for the Ephesian church saying 

"That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward us who believe, according to the working of his mighty power..." 

The bible is much more than a code of conduct and the kingdom of God is one of power! This is why as believers, we have the ability in us to do his will as spelt out in the scriptures here on earth! Have you not read in the bible, where it says if that same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he will quicken your mortal bodies?

 The Holy spirit is at work in us both to will and to do of his good pleasure. The bible even admonishes us to stay away from all who have a form of godliness, but denies the power thereof! The prayer apostle Paul prayed for the Ephesian church should be our prayer today and always! God bless you and do have a glorious Sunday!
