It beats my imagination when I see our fathers and mothers claiming to have achieved because they were able to build houses, buy cars and ensured their children are degree holders and to crown it all, having huge amount of money in their bank accounts.
Then I ask myself, are all these worth the struggles under the sun?
I look back into history & even in our today world, it is obvious that only the men who have added or contributed their quota in a definite way to the world in which we live, are the people we celebrate even after their departure from this world.
It done on me that there are three kinds of people in this world which are:
- Those who are burdened with the needs of the others; they look around themselves & see what they can do in their various field of endeavors, they try to put in effort to ensure the world is a better place to live in, they posses some features which are not found in any other set of people in this world:
- They are not myopic: while others see only their homes & extended families at most, these men see the world at large.
- They are not selfish: they are men with large hearts, givers, who care so much about others as much as they care about themselves.
- They have recognised their abilities: they have discovered who God has created them to be, the so much God has invested in them to make, build & multiply good things on earth.
- They are compassionate, passionate, brave & courageous: their compassion for others creates a passion in them, that they would not give up on their dreams of making the world a better place, instead encourage themselves & with bravery ensure they make their dreams come true.
- They are not just after creating wealth but value: their primary aim is not money if not they will end up extorting others. Rather, they are interested in adding value & in so doing they create wealth not just for themselves but for others as well.
- They are men of action: they do not stop at realising the needs of others, dreaming to meet such needs but they as well make reasonable plans and take deliberate actions to actualize their plans.
- They believe they can do better: therefore, they are not proud no matter what because they feel they have achieved little compared to the needs of the world. They remain humble as they try to do better...I call them world builders!
- Those who are burdened with their personal needs: who struggle day in & out just to be successful as they say. They term success as having cars, houses etc. They are satisfied with struggling for their families alone and making a name for themselves maybe in their localities. So, with one or two houses, cars etc they feel they have arrived & go about pompous. I call them world users!
Here is a little comparison of the world users & the world builders:
- World builders work hard to create cars, jets, bicycles, machines etc. Meanwhile, world users work hard to possess these things.
- World builders create & stabilizes the world economy; world users try to meet up with it so as to keep providing for the needs of their homes.
- World builders influence the trend of the world; world users call it standard & try to live it.
- Those who are not burdened at all neither by their personal needs nor those of others. These are those referred to as failures, they do not know how to & are not interested to learn how to or perhaps do not want to take the responsibility of their needs. Rather, they depend on others to survive! They are satisfied at surviving even if they are not succeeding because they just believe it's not yet their time, they believe so much in luck & keep wishing they will one day be lucky. They have so much potentials which they have failed to recognise or use. They are lazy set of people. I call them world wasters!
You can decide to improve!
The world needs you!
You can be a stakeholder in this world!
You can determine your fate in this world!
You can make the world a better place!
Always remember that God has given the earth to the sons of men and not to some ghost nor deity!
