Many have misinterpreted greed for determination. But they are two different things, very far apart. When you are bent on achieving it at the expense of anything even when it demands trampling on the right of others, you are not being determined but greedy.
Determination is a firm decision against all odds not a selfish desire that uses everything and takes advantage of persons to achieve its own aim.
A greedy man can go at any length not just to acquire what he wants but to destroy the edge others have over him if he cannot attain it.
Greed is summarized simply as "It is either me or no one else"...
